- Richard, get well soon. May I suggest that you use the power of bottle tops to cure your ailment? I have been a practicing bottle top therapist for the past 22 days and have yet to find an illness or condition that bottletops can not cure. There are several schools of thought on the use of bottle tops, some say wearing them on your head is helpful but i believe that to make a pile of bottletops on the table in front of you is more efficacious.
Peter - With Simon in town this week, I wonder if any of you saw this recently in the news...
Blind chiropractor failed to detect heart attack
The inquest heard Mr Forte called another chiropractor after Mr Halloran began having seizures and then a nearby medical centre before an ambulance was called. Mr Halloran, a warrant officer in the army for 20 years, died in Royal Adelaide Hospital two days later after suffering massive brain damage from a lack of oxygen caused by cardiac arrest.
I haven't seen it discussed anywhere. - @Eran, is this the episode where you discussed chemist shops that did not peddle woo? I found one in Melbourne (purely by chance), if you are compiling a list.

So nice to see a shop uncluttered with magnets and homeopathy and other junk!
Thanks for the great work,
Chris - Thanks for the episode - it was a good one.
I hope to attend Simon Singh's talk in Adelaide, and I just thought I'd post the link with the time and venue on it, which is http://www.adelaidefestivalofideas.com.au/daytime_sessions_sunday.htm
On a personal note, if you read my blog you'll know what exciting science-related news I received last night. This has kept me in a particularly good mood.
- Enjoyed the podcast, as usual.
There was talk about the slogan for the proposed "alternative medicine" of drinking to people's health if they paid for a round. May I suggest "Send us some bread and we'll give you a toast." (Assuming that "bread" is slang for money in Australia; Canadian listener here.)
