  • Excellent interview with Rebecca le Tourneau. Because of your segments in the last 2 podcasts I have looked at the Channel 7 items on that tragic case. It's easy to be enraged by groups like AVN but a calm logical & approach that uses education is the best. I congratulate you all on what you are doing in this area. It will probably be a never ending battle. Keep up your good work.

  • My favourite so SZ far. I love the Alison Oborn interview. She doesn't seem to identify as a skeptic but in many ways she does a pretty darned good job of it since she's willing to actually strike things off the list as evidence dictates she should.

Thanks Dr Rachie for the anti-vax update. When we first heard about the hate mail, I had no idea just how spiteful it really was.

Have you spoken to Rebecca Le Tourneau about the wonders of homeopathy and other possibilities for future programs?

  • RE: The vaccination debate - I wonder what would happen if skeptics who live near Dr Giselle Cooke's practice made appointments to receive the flu shots and vaccinate their kids? Would she deny them their choice and what would the legal implications of her actions?

  • hi, great interview with Alison Oborn. I was at the torchlight tour and enjoyed it a lot. It was my first skeptical outing (apart from the ones simply about drinking) I was hoping to hear your take on Alison\'s stories about the heavy footsteps/invisible man phenomenon. Remember the story she told when we stood at the bottom of those steel steps. How a group of people apparently experienced hearing the footsteps. Whats the usual explanation for that; mass hysteria?

  • Hi Petria Well... who knows. I mean I have no idea. Story... imagination... re-telling... ghosts... aliens... fairies... nothing at all.... without being there at the time, I offer no answer apart from very much doubting it was the thinking remains of a human.

  • Thanks Richard. Yes it probably is tricky to concentrate on scaring ghost tourists when your brain is rotten. Thanks for all your hard work. Look forward to next time you n Dr. R will be in Adelaide.
